Shuangxi Lake Scenic Spot, 1.5 km out of the north of Rongxian County, is a beautiful place called for joint of the Dongchuan and shousui streams. Many years ago, there were “a book attic”, which was the library of Rongzhou county, ”A stone room named Wang in Shuangxi” which was “the fairy cave” written by Huang Shangu in the Northern Song Dynasty and plum tree liked by Lu You, who was the poet in Northern Song Dynasty and an official in Rongzhou. It was these to attract Lu You to come here and wrote a lot of famous poems .Shuangxi Lake is a man-made lake which may irrigate the fields, supply water to the town people, prevent flood, travel, generate electricity, plant and breed.
Shuangxi Lake Scenic Spot is not only a green and beautiful mountain scenery, but also has plenty of famous humanities and scenic spots and historical sites, such as “Shuangxi book attic”, “green cliff reaching up to heaven” named as ” Fuji”, Sangziyuan built by Zhao Dun when he was the officer in Northern Song Dynasty ,the “studying cave” which Wang Yang and Wang xu studied, Dongchuangou, which was the martyr during Song Dynasty Hu Zizhao’s hometown” and Songjiaba, which was the birth place of Zhao Xi, the poet at the end of Qin Dynasty. Moreover, Wen Yuke, Huang Tingjian and Lu You wrote many poets here.
